About the room

HUGE Astoria room w/ private bathroom + shower and very large closet available in a 3 bedroom apartment. Located in a great location on 31st avenue (31st avenue and 23rd st). 10 min walk either to Broadway N/W train or 30th avenue train (equidistant between the two). Available as soon as July 5th and up until Aug 1st move-in date. Latest move-in date however is August 1st, as we are signing a new lease to start for then.

Other roommates: One female 31 years old, from Europe (Greek/English), have been living in NYC for around 8 years now. I work as an Executive Assistant at an investment firm and also involved in real estate. I am currently looking for two roommates, one who will be in the smallest room in the apartment, and one for the biggest en-suite room (this ad!). I’m looking for roommates who are clean, friendly and respectful of our space. Expectation is to always wash the dishes after ourselves, to leave the living room/dining room free of clutter (including fluffing/putting the pillows straight after hanging out on the couch, not leaving bags or random things in the living room space). Helping to clean the kitchen, living room and taking out the trash so that we all pitch in is great. Occasionally hosting friends at the apartment is fine, but giving each other a heads up will be great (primarily so we can make arrangements to give each other privacy if hosting friends!) Also, our living room is TV free (we just watch shows on our laptops). You’re welcome to get cable/TV in your bedroom though. We also don’t have AC, but feel free to get a portable AC for your room if you’d prefer instead of using a fan (you would just cover the extra electricity cost for the AC). Roommate who is moving out does have an AC for sale for $200 (1 year old - retailed for over $500) I have started dating someone for 4 months now, who does come round a lot, so established partners are fine (random’s not preferred! haha it took me a while of dating him before I introduced him to my space for safety reasons for all!)

If you are interested, please tell me a little about yourself so we can see if it will be a good fit to come by and see the place!

  • How long have you been living in NYC, and where did you grow up?
  • A g e range, what work do you do?
  • What do you do in your spare time? Hobbies?

*Security deposit required (one month’s rent). We will be signing a one year lease to start August 1st. If you are wanting to move in before, you would pro-rate the rent to current roommate who is moving out, as room is available from July 5th. We will all split the electricity and internet bill.
