I’m looking for a roommate to join me in a new 2BR/1.5BA duplex unit in Bushwick, Brooklyn. It’s conveniently located next to the L train (<3min walk), M train (<15min walk), & J/Z trains (<15min walk) that gets you right into the city within 20mins. You would have your own room (unfurnished) with a Juliet balcony. The room is best fit out with a full size bed (queen bed is possible), and the 1/2 bathroom would pretty much be yours since I’ll be using the other bathroom. We would just have to share the shower. Washer/Dryer in the unit, so no runs to the laundromat or sharing with other building tenants. Public rooftop with nice views of Brooklyn and Manhattan in the distance. Gym in the building. Street parking. Much more to discuss about the unit if you’re interested. Preferred move-in date is July 1st, but can be flexible if you’re looking for a little earlier or later than July 1.

Me: 25yo, young professional, very social, clean, non-smoker, not a clean freak but don’t want to walk into a place that is sloppy and looks ridiculous, work a regular daytime schedule, enjoy going out to the bar and hanging with friends whenever possible, mindful of my roommate’s schedule, and pretty easygoing with most things. Prefer to have a roommate that I can hang out with, but I’m cool if you’re more into keeping to yourself.

You: Clean, mindful, mature and can handle your own responsibilities as a roommate, drama free, no pets (allergic), non-smoker, prefer you to have experience living with roommates before but not required… just be a decent person and understand there are 2 people living in the unit, not just you. The rest should go pretty easy.

I prefer to email/text people first, then meet in person. Want to know who I’m dealing with without wasting my time, and also see if our schedules/lifestyles don’t inconvenience each other.
