Hi! I’m looking for a housemate to share my cute San Francisco style home in North Redondo Beach that’s a mile from the Hermosa Beach pier. My home is in a quiet, family-oriented neighborhood that is very safe. Lots of young couples in the neighborhood and a few kids. Besides being close to the beach, my home is less than 10 minutes from the 405 and about 20 minutes from LAX.

You would have complete privacy in the downstairs furnished bedroom (with a mattress that will feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud) and your own bathroom (with a whirlpool tub). There is lots of space in the closet with upper & lower hanging rods and built in shelves.

The washer & dryer are conveniently located on the same floor as your bedroom in the garage. The upstairs kitchen & living room have recently been remodeled. The only room that would be off limits would be the upstairs master bedroom.

Monthly rent is $1750 with a $1250 security deposit. All utilities (gas, electric, water, trash, internet & tv) and bi-weekly visit by housecleaner are included in the rent so it’s one flat fee. There is also parking available for you in the driveway.

I would ask for a 3-month lease to start off with the intent of doing something longer term. This provides security on both sides in the unlikely event that there is a personality conflict. I want to find the right person as opposed to any warm body to create the best possible dynamic.

I am a recently retired rocket scientist pursuing his second act working with his friends in making movies. I love live theatre and see a show almost every weekend. I’m an avid cyclist and enjoy hiking.

I’m also a HUGE lover of dogs, so if you have one (or want to get one), then we’re already on the road to becoming friends even if we don’t become roommates.
