Hi there. I am looking for a single tenant to move into my beautiful Longview, WA home. The right person will love it here. Available Nov. 7 or MAYBE slightly earlier. Month-to-month.
You get a lovely room in a lovely home with a huge backyard. Utilities including high speed internet are included. (The room, after current tenant moves out will have a FEW nice items, if you want to use them, but is otherwise unfurnished.) Bring your own furnishings, including bed.
The house and garage are completely non-smoking for any substance, tobacco, weed, vape- anything. Good news, there’s a covered porch with picnic table, and a side of the house that’s covered. ‘Smokeless’ devices are not permitted inside.
Deer, birds of all kinds, waterfowl too - and the occasional pheasant, visit daily. You must not feed the deer at any time. If you love a private forest for a backyard – this is the house for you. If you’re the walking kind, walking off the rear of my huge property cuts about a mile off a walk to Miller’s Market – if that’s your thing. Be careful in crosswalks. As you know, no one yields to pedestrians in Longview at night.
The right person for this share is one who is self-sufficient. Verifiable employment information and couple of references, please. Clean. Courteous and friendly. If you’re private, that’s just fine. But it’s important to address other human beings with ‘Morning,’ ‘Hello,’ that sort of thing. You do NOT have to become buddies with others. I’m looking for ONE person, thanks. Your personal life is your own business but drug use, including alcohol, to a point that causes problems for other household members, won’t work.
My go to place to meet and answer all your questions and concerns is the Starbucks on Washington Way, in Longview. NOT the more well-known Starbucks (far too noisy) on Ocean Beach Highway. Address: 843 Washington Way, Longview, WA 98632. Please hold your questions until we meet face-to-face – that’s the whole point of meeting.
Will CONSIDER, no guarantees, litter-trained, INDOOR-ONLY cat. Not to say the same thing twice, but I have to. The cat MUST remain indoors. It’s the law, and there are hawks around, that can (and have) killed neighbors large pets. If you have to have a home where the cat can roam outdoors – this is not a fit.
Rent and last required, total $1600.00, to move in. Sorry no payments. Rent is due on the 7th (I know, I wish it was the first) but if you greatly prefer, after the first month of your tenancy, we can talk about changing it to the first. There is no grace period. I’ve always returned tenant’s deposit when they move out with the room in the same condition as moving in, between 1-7 days. The state law gives me much longer, but I see no reason to. I take photos on move-in day (you should, too).
There is considerable free storage available. If you need 6000 lbs total storage, LOL it’s $75.00 a month extra – and at my discretion. The free storage you’re welcome to use, should be more than enough.
Bottom line: If you’re reliable, solidly employed, self-aware (meaning, “I know how I come across to others”) and a good person, you’ll absolutely love it here. People in this town seem extremely reserved which has been my experience in seven years with tenants. I promise you, folks will be courteous at all times. Mutual respect rules here and most have been extremely satisfied renting here.
