We’re looking for a roommate to share our 5 bedroom 3 bath house with us in West Asheville. The rent + utilities would be $650 total. That said, we’re open to a bit of negotiation.

The neighborhood is just across from Johnston Elementary and we’re about 5 minutes from the happening areas of West Asheville. Normally we can get to downtown Asheville in about 10-15 minutes. The house is at the back edge of a quiet neighborhood, we have a small back yard and everything behind that is just trees (N. Bear Creek isn’t too far away.)

We have 3 cats and unfortunately, wouldn’t be able to allow more pets per the landlord (and HOA rules.)

We’re looking for a steady, stable roommate with consistent income who can pay their part through the end of the lease (June 2020) at least. We hope to stay in this house for quite a while and are open to a long term roommate situation.

Moving in here would require a deposit of $650, signing a roommate contract and rent for your first month. I’m open to doing a pro-rated partial month, of course.

We both just have a few expectations that I hope would be common sense:

Clean up after yourself. Have rent ready by the 1st of each month. Be respectful in the way you speak and act towards others. Don’t use physical or verbal violence towards anyone. Clear, honest & consistent communication. No smoking inside of the house.

You’re welcome to have friends over as long as they’re respectful + nice.

The bedroom that’s available is decent sized, has a decent closet and is at the front of the house. This is the only bedroom shown in the pictures.

Here’s what the living space comes with:

1 parking spot in the driveway. No overnight parking on the street. Washer/dryer. Kitchen with normal appliances. My name is Chris and I live with Cassandra (fiance.) We’re both pretty laid back, love all kinds of music and the outdoors.

I work from home for a SaaS tech startup Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM (sometimes longer) and Cassandra currently drives for different delivery services so her schedule varies. Cassandra is still hunting for jobs and hoping to start her masters in Psychology, soon. During the week, you probably won’t see us much but we both try to say hi. I’m probably the more social one between the two of us.

We try to keep open minds about life/philosophy/politics and we’re both sometimes more to ourselves. We both smoke cigarettes but are working towards stopping that (we also drink, occasionally.) It’s totally fine if you’re introverted or extroverted!
