1 bed & 1 detached bathroom for rent in a newly renovated 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. Looking for a quiet, clean, animal friendly, respectful roommate. Candidates will need to pass a credit check, provide proof of income, and have at least 3 references. Electric/internet not included, but adds up to be a little under $100 additionally. Close to freeways, stores, parks, and the beach. Very safe neighborhood.

The apartment is located inside of a small complex with a buzz code entry system. There is only 1 garage parking spot assigned, but there is TONS of street parking 10 ft away from the complex. There’s a pool that’s heated 6 months out of the year. There are children in the surrounding apartments and quiet hours start at 8pm. Quiet as in no blasting music and getting wild by the pool.

The unit is upstairs and approx 1,000 sq ft with a small balcony patio that has a view of the pool. I have a lot of plants, you have been warned. They are super cute! Bedrooms face the park that’s right across the street. Living room and Kitchen are fully furnished but furniture additions are welcome if they fit accordingly!

The bedroom for rent has a great amount of closet space with mirror sliding doors. There is one window that faces the park right across the street and the room gets a lot of natural sunlight. The bathroom is in the hallway and has a shower/bathtub. There is a small amount of cupboard storage in the hallway for linens/storage.

My medium sized dog and I are very easy to live with and we are in the master bedroom. I am looking for someone who is comfortable around animals and has some experience with pets. I will occasionally pet sit a few dogs and a tortoise, so the roommate will need to be comfortable with that. I worked with dogs for years so if I do happen to dog sit, do not be concerned, if they stay with me they’re well behaved. My bedroom door will be left cracked open since my dog will be home most of the time while I am at work. Because of this, I will be looking for someone who is incredibly trustworthy. She will go back and forth between my room and the living room. Quinn is a very friendly, quiet, and well behaved dog. She likes to do a “happy howl” every now and then to greet people. She will end up doing it to you after she gets to know you. Its just like shes saying “HI”. She doesn’t jump or bark. My previous roommates have said she is extremely quiet when I am not around. She is a mixed herding breed so she likes to talk sometimes and has many toys, but she is not a disturbance. However she will leave her toys in the living room. Feel free to throw them into my room if they are bothering you. Unfortunately we can’t have anymore pets in this unit at this time.

When I’m home I’m pretty quiet. I listen to records and podcasts but keep them at an appropriate volume. I’m super organized and a very tidy/clean person. I’m looking for someone who will respect that, keep the common areas picked up, and to just be chill at home. My dog and I are very laid-back and mellow but we do spend a fair amount of time at home if I am not working. I would love to find someone who doesn’t spend too much time at home, but if you do and you are the right fit, we will work it out. My previous roommates and I were very respectful of each others space. We switched off using the living room and kitchen, would sometimes join each other for a movie, and we always let each other know before someone would come over. As I said before this is a smaller complex, probably less than 35 apartments in total. This is not the place for parties, small get togethers are totally welcome but it is not a great place for people to be coming in and out constantly.

I really like a happy, peaceful and quiet home and I’m hoping to find someone who wants the same. I’m a working professional and I teach Pilates on the side. I am really easy going and I don’t ask for much, except that you are clean, respectful to my dog and me, and trustworthy. I like a whole lot of things from puzzles to sky diving. I’m a horseback rider. I LOVE to eat, love a good adult beverage. I go to live music shows and do random stuff all over LA. I binge tv shows, currently revisiting Law & Order SVU. I enjoy hiking and taking my dog to the beach, hanging with my boyfriend and his dog (they do come over once in a blue moon). I’m super easy to live with and so is Quinn. We are nonjudgmental and genuine! There are times I might need to work from home. Let me know if you have any questions :)
