About the room
Looking for a roommate in a 2.5BR/1BA rowhome in Brewerytown to join the lease beginning August 1st. Rent is $675 and includes water and trash, while power/gas/internet utilities are typically (+/-)$100/mo. The house has central heating for winter, and each room has a window AC unit for summer. The available bedroom is on the second floor at the back of the property, giving privacy, and with wonderful afternoon light and sunset skies. The shared areas in the house include a spacious living room, a full kitchen with gas stove, microwave, dishwasher and garbage dispose-all, a laundry room with washer/dryer on the ground floor, an enclosed patio in the rear, as well as a basement, and an extra room for an office or other use. Some furniture can also be provided if needed. The bathroom is clean and bright. The house is very conveniently located with grocery stores, restaurants, and shops all within walking distance; as well as numerous parks and green spaces. There are multiple bus/trolley/subway lines all within a block or so making public transit very easy. For cars on-street parking is available. The Landlord allows for small pets with an additional deposit. The landlord requires first and last month as well as deposit to join, as is common in Philadelphia, which comes to $2025.
About the roomies
Iβm in my 30βs, an assistant manager at Aldi, and a very self-comfortable introvert and home-body. I like to keep shared spaces clean and tidy. I am generally quiet and inclined to do my own thing, so while I very much enjoy conversation and hanging out I donβt insist on shared house activities. I am not averse to group gatherings, but they take a lot out of me so I donβt do a lot of hosting. My interest include books, movies/shows, video games, and going to museums and parks. I am looking for someone who has stable employment, and is similarly low key. (Or at least makes sure to party at other peoples houses!) Proof of vaccination is required, preferably before an in-person meeting and viewing, and references and a background check by the landlord will be required before an offer will be officially extended.
