I have a newly renovated and secluded 8 bedroom home near Bowie State University campus that I’m opening as a transitional home for women and children survivors of domestic violence and abuse. The home is large and beautiful and I’m making lots of ongoing improvements. The goal is to create a pleasant environment of patience and peace as domestic abuse survivors rebuild their lives. Transitional home agreements can last from 6 months to 2 years. Three of the rooms can accommodate small children and the room rents range from $445 to $795. There is no walk to public transportation but you could use a service like Uber or Lyft or potentially be shuttled by staff or another resident to the University campus just one minute away. Common area furnishings will be provided and bedroom furnishings are available for those who need it. No credit check required but a reliable way to pay the rent is a must. All utilities including WiFi are included. I am also working on support services in areas like personal counseling, on-site child care, primary medical care, job/career placement and more for those who have the need.
