About the room

About the Apartment/Room: This is a sunny, spacious beautiful 2 bedroom fully furnished apartment with a private room with queen bed for monthly sublet. I live in the second bedroom and all of the common space is shared (kitchen, living room, bathroom, etc). This apartment also has rooftop access on a limited basis.

I’ve seen other apartments/rooms people are renting in similar or slightly less price range to what I am offering - mostly people are sharing apartments with 4-6 other people and have very tiny bedrooms and personal space and many personalities to contend with. This is not the case here - why risk it?

About the Neighborhood: If you’ve ever wanted to experience the Alphabet City/East Village this is a perfect way to do it! Spend your stay in one of the coolest and most unique neighborhoods in NYC! The original home of the Hipster, the East Village is filled with artists and musicians and is one of the most colorful and culturally diverse neighborhoods in the city. The apartment is located on a well-lit block, is only two blocks from L train, and surrounded by various restaurants, outdoor cafes, coffee shops, and bars.

Ideal Roommate: Friendly, clean, respectful of apartment and neighbors. Keeps noise to a minimum after 11pm. Animal friendly. Has full-time employment and a steady income.

This room is perfect for professional/full-time employed or graduate students.

Nearby: 2 blocks from the L Train. Close to Union Square (subway lines R/Q/N/4/5/6/L), Lower East Side, Soho, and one stop from Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Two blocks from Thompkins Square Park and close to the Hudson River which is great for jogging or walking. Restaurants, bars, and coffee shops galore (Cafe Mogador, Kotobuki, Motorino, Ha-Noi House, Boris & Horton). The East Village is one of the best neighborhoods in NYC for Ethnic Food. There are several full-service laundromats nearby.

Other information:

  1. There are 2 super friendly and well trained 18-year-old cats who live in the apartment. If you are allergic to cats and or don’t like cats - this is not the ideal place for you.

  2. Must pay monthly rent in full upfront and in advance. NO EXCEPTIONS.

About the roomies

About me: I am an entrepreneur making men’s yoga apparel and a photographer. I like to keep a clean and presentable home. I don’t make a lot of noise or host any parties in the apartment. I am friendly and respectful, I enjoy being social, and have a nice relationship with my neighbors. I’ve hosted many guests from all over the world and I am happy to provide the reviews of their experience staying here.
