Hi folks, my name is Illie and my husband is Danny and we are looking for a female roommate ( or a couple in a relationship) for a beautiful 3 bedroom 3.5 bath home in Lorton, very close to Ft Belvoir and within walking distance to the Virginia Railway express (VRE) for rapid transit into DC.

It is $800 a month (and $250 deposit) for your own bedroom and detached private bathroom, plus fair share of utilities, which included are the internet, water, electricity, laundry units, and monitored alarm system (fire, carbon monoxide, theft) and access to all the common areas (approx $100.) We don’t have cable or satellite for the TV but we are not opposed to it if a tenant would want to get it.

There is no garaged parking, but you will have access to the two car parking spot we have in front of the house. The room is 10 x 11 feet with two bright windows, a ceiling fan, a large closet, and is furnished modestly with a bed. The detached private bathroom has a large spa tub, perfect to soak in!

We will also have a guest room that your guests are free to use as long as you give us a little heads up. The house is less than 5 miles from Pohick Bay Regional Park and Mason Neck State Park if you enjoy camping, boating, hiking, biking, and wildlife preserves. It’s a very quiet neighborhood, family friendly, and you can be sure is a safe place to relax and feel at home.

A bit of some background on us, my husband and I are working professionals and both previously served in the United States Marine Corps. We are both friendly and outgoing, and enjoy to entertain every now and then with the BBQ. We admit we are nerds and our time is spent with friends enjoy playing weekly games of trivia, the occasional dungeon and dragons campaign, and trying out a new microbrewery, meadery, or winery.

We have one dog and a cat, respectively named Jamie ( a 13lb Boston Terrier) and Shadow, (17lb cat) and welcome any roommate with a dog, cat, or caged pet. Fish are welcomed too! If you are interested, feel free to message us! We like to meet people and don’t mind showing the place around.
