Welcome home. This two-story “smart” condo combines 50’s charm and comfort with a creative bachelor vibe. Fireplace, built in bookshelves, loads of windows, hardwood floors. Near a park on a tree lined street, it’s one of the few condominiums with a back door, lovely garden tea table area and tastefully pornographic tea set. Lovely classic Western-Holly stove and vintage ‘47 Philco refrigerator are balanced with the most modern smart-home conveniences. An upgraded 70’s Rock-ola beer and soda vending is a reminder that good times are encouraged here, in a close-knit community with friendly and happy neighbors.

The first-floor kitchen looks out to the walkway and garden with a window sill that’s perfect for letting homemade pies cool. Lit with upcycled tea-cups and Tupperware, the kitchen with breakfast nook sits next to a deco brick wall adorned with 50’s era gay pulp mags. Fully equipped with every appliance from dishwasher to deep-fryer and even a juicer. Change the mood instantly with theatrical DMX color changing lighting which is zone controlled from an iPad along with a first-rate 4K entertainment area, VR gaming and even more surprises. Advanced active and passive security systems (ssshhh, don’t tell anyone) as well as intrinsically-safe and lightning-fast internet.

The bathroom also brings modern conveniences to old school charm with a retro pebble-glass and tile tub with a rainfall shower view of the Verdugo mountains. Singing in the shower is encouraged, and Alexa will play you whatever you want to hear as you scrub down or relax and let the robotic Japanese commode clean your poop-hole (don’t be afraid – it’s amazing).

Your bedroom is the lightest with the best view in the house as 2 north facing windows provide the perfect amount of natural light and views looking over the property. Comes either furnished or unfurnished (your choice), and I will paint the walls whatever colors make you smile. I’ve recently refinished the hardwood floors. The room has its own quiet window AC unit, a vintage ceiling fan, and a heater disguised as a fireplace. There’s an ample sized walk-in closet which features a built-in shoe rack, as well as a TV/DVD player, storage chest, and full-sized bed (if you decide you want to use it).

All utilities are included, and smart air conditioners keep the place a cool 72 degrees all summer long.

The Location is the best: Just off Glendale Blvd and centrally located within walking distance of South Brand and Galleria/Americana (close, but not too close), it’s also a short (15-20min) bike ride to your favorite hipster magnets such as York Blvd, Atwater Village, as well as The Eagle, Akbar and Griffith Park. Walk across the street for hot freshly baked bread each morning and pick from the herb gardens and lemon tree on the lush and green pathways. Never have to wait for laundry with multiple and well-maintained machines throughout the property.

About me: I’m a 40-year-old mohawked “bear-type” who sometimes acts stupid like I’m still in my 20’s. Full of contradictions I’m a tech geek who rides motorcycles, am spiritual but not religious, and I dislike fish but love sushi. I fly my freak flag high and am famous for making the world’s best grilled cheese sandwich. I’m comfortable with a little temporary creative mess, but I try to clean it up within a couple days - not weeks. I collect interesting people (in my basement j/k) and love burners ravers punks goths theater types and other weirdos like myself. I’m super friendly (but not a pushover) and don’t do too well with overly dominant or strong personalities.

About you: I’m seeking a condo-mate who is easy-going and pleasant who will be a friend first and tenant second. For this reason, I’m going to take my time finding the right match and will not accept any applications until things “just feel right”. I’m only considering gay men (as that is a central theme of my life and want to be comfortable and be able to relate to you) and although I shouldn’t have to say this - please no pretending to be gay/bi – I have a detector. There’s some downstairs closet and garage storage, but for the most part you need to be able to fit your things into your space (will clear it out completely if you wish). The lease is month-to-month with first and last at move in.
