This listing is for a room rental in a 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. You’d have your own private entrance on the side of the house as well as the option of having a washer/dryer directly in the unit for a little extra on utilities each month. Because there are only 2 bathrooms in the house, we do ask to be able to use the toilet and shower when absolutely needed. Otherwise the space is mostly yours.

Unfortunately two roomies in the house are allergic to cats and dogs, so if bringing along pets, they may have to stay in the room or outside in the fenced in backyard.

My husband and I room upstairs along with another husband and wife couple; this room is the only bedroom downstairs, directly off of the kitchen and laundry/mud room.

Rent is set at $725/month, plus an average of $100/month for utilities. (This includes gas, sewage, water, internet, electricity, and trash.)

We’re located in the Old Wythe section of Hampton, which is less than 15 minutes away from the Newport News shipyard, 15 minutes away from Langley AFB, and less than 10 minutes away from both the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel and the Monitor Merrimac. The location is perfect for any commuter!

It’s also a short walk or bike ride to some beautiful views of the James River. You’ll definitely love this location if you enjoy some outdoor exercise.

Ideally we’d like a quiet, single person who doesn’t mind sharing common spaces with other people. We’re open to married couples on a case by case basis, though!

Hi, my name is Lauren! I’m a 23 year old orthodontic assistant. My husband, Frank, is also 23 and works in VA Beach as a mechanical contractor. We just took over the lease this year and are excited to sublease to someone who needs a place to stay! We enjoy music and cooking/baking: you’ll frequently find us jamming in the kitchen.

Kati and Kyle will be moving in together once they’re married at the end of July. If you move in before then, you’ll only have to live with Kyle for the time being, haha! Kati is a massage therapist and Kyle is an EMT.

All of us are Orthodox Christians: you’ll find icons of saints and Jesus around the common areas of the house, and may occasionally smell incense going in the morning and evening.

We’re also amateur gardeners, so hopefully you’ll be moving in right at the height of our herb and veggie season!
