About the room
Sunny bedroom with exposed brick wall available starting September 1 in charming four-bedroom, two-bathroom carriage house. This is not an apartment; it’s a 3-floor house with hard wood floors, exposed brick in every room, an amazing roof deck (plus grill and tables for 12), a washer/dryer in the basement, and a working fireplace. We are one block from Atlantic Terminal’s nine subway lines but live on a tree-lined street of brownstones. We absolutely love it here and are looking for someone else to join us! Two rooms are available.
The other roomies are women in their early to mid 30s working in social entrepreneurship and women’s reproductive rights. We value a calm living environment, enjoy each other’s company, and like hosting gatherings, but we also lead independent lives.
The house is on the eastern edge of Boerum Hill, between Fort Greene and Park Slope. It was built in the 1860s and has high ceilings with charming ceiling beams. The downstairs is fully furnished with comfy couches, a piano, and a kitchen/dining area. The new roommate will share a bathroom with one other person. The bedroom for rent comes with a large closet and is on the quieter side of the house, overlooking a back area with trees and greenery.
The location here couldn’t be better: We are 1 block from Atlantic Terminal/Barclays (2/3, 4/5, N/Q/R, & B/D lines), and 2 blocks from the A/C & G lines at Hoyt/Schermerhorn. There’s a bodega next door and groceries, restaurants, and shopping galore.
We have a small dog, and unfortunately cannot take additional cats and dogs or regular smokers.
One month’s rent of $1550 plus security deposit of $2444 required before moving in. Utilities are not included, but run about ~100/month, including internet. You would be signing onto a lease with us. We are looking to fill the room on September 1st.
