Ruth's room

The area of Steger is a South suburb of Chicago with a Metra train 10 minutes drive away and usually 40 minutes to Chicago depending on traffic. The ranch house is set back on two wooded acres with wildlife all around. This private room with tall windows looks out to the front of the property. A small coffee maker and Dish Cable TV along with capability of a monitor for your laptop to hook up to or a desktop computer can be installed if desired. Mainly been used as an Airbnb room but would like to have a regular monthly renter with the right fit. Have a calico cat named April Patches who is very friendly so being okay with a cat is a must. Bathroom is mainly yours but may be shared from time to time. Use of kitchen and other areas of the house would be fine as well.

I live here alone as my 96-year-old father went off to heaven in April of this year and I was his caregiver for the last few years of his life. My husband lives in Sycamore, IL above the garage in his son’s house but sometimes comes here and stays for a night or two and goes back and forth. As mentioned before beautiful April Patches is the one cat now living in the home.
