Roommate wanted for a charming 2-bedroom duplex near 8th and Illinois – close to downtown and campus! Rent $400/month (+ $25/month if you have a pet), utilities are $90-110/month. Duplex includes shared basement with new washer/dryer, plus secured, private storage space in a converted garage. The square footage of the duplex is much larger than the posted 632 sq.ft, when including the shared basement and private storage areas.

We have a big corner yard with a small patio and gardening area too in this quiet, very walkable and bikable, tree-lined neighborhood. House is furnished, the room for rent is not. Internet and all utilities are already set up.

I’ve have lived at this wonderful location for a year and will be renewing the lease, which starts at the very end of July/start of Aug. I’ll be helping my current room-mate move out around then, their room is the space for rent. Landlord operates on a 1 year lease and I’d ideally love to find someone for the full term of that. Landlord will do background check on anyone who wants to rent.
