Valley Spring Lane

The location is in the N. Hollywood/Toluca Lake area, walking distance from Universal Studios. It’s near a lot of great shopping and restaurants. The room has a large closet and you would have your own nicely-sized bathroom. My last roommate left behind a desk, nightstand, and a bed. You are welcome to any of it if you need a furnished, or partly furnished room. If you don’t need it, I’m happy to sell the items you don’t want.

The unit does have a washer/dryer, fireplace, wi-fi and the usual kitchen appliances. The complex has a workout room and two parking spots for guests. The building manager/landlord lives on the property and is a great guy. He is very responsive to any sort of questions or maintenance needs. The unit comes with a tandem parking space so that does require coordination/cooperation. The unit also has a balcony that is shared by the living room and my bedroom. Given that I have a job that starts VERY early in the morning, I usually have to go to bed earlier than normal. I would just ask that anyone living with me respects that on those nights. You would be more than welcome to use the balcony after I’ve gone to bed, I just ask that you don’t talk loudly on the phone, play music, etc.

I’m a 50+ woman who works some very early morning hours. I’m a sci-fi nerd and cat lady… the perfect combo! I do have a couple of friendly cats so I’m looking for someone who is comfortable living with them. The house stays relatively clean, but if you’re a neat freak and can’t stand animal fur, living with cats probably won’t be ideal for you.

I don’t smoke and am not a drug user, but do drink socially. I do have friends over occasionally and co-host a weekly nerdy/queer podcast. I’m hoping to find someone who doesn’t mind helping care for the cats when I need to go out of town and would discount the rent for the months that help is needed. If you would rather, I could enlist the help of a pet sitter instead.
