About the room
My current roommate is getting ready to move out, which leaves me looking for someone to take her spot. The room is available July 1st and I’m hoping to have someone for it no later than July 15th.
The Neighborhood: About two blocks from Downtown San Mateo, this apartment is near shops, coffee spots, cafes, sandwiches, ice cream, restaurants, Walgreens, markets and a movie theater. There is always (and I do mean always) street parking within a block of the place. We’re about 3-4 blocks from CalTrain and a 10 minute drive to the SFO airport or Millbrae BART.
The Apartment: A fantastic about 1100 sq foot place. It has a patio off the living room, a dining room, and washer/dryer (coin-op) in the complex. We have wireless internet that runs throughout the apartment and the bedroom has a cable hook-up. It’s carpeted throughout, except the bathroom and the kitchen. It has my bedroom with bathroom, and then it has your room and bathroom…
Your Room: Your room is a nice, carpeted room with a closet. It will be completely vacant. It has windows that let in a lot of light. Directly outside your bedroom is your bathroom. It has a sink, toilet, and shower over bathtub.
About me: I’m easy going, have a good deal of energy, and a great number of things that keep me interested in life. Happy to talk more about my work and schedule at a later point with interested parties.
About you: Easy going. You must be 420 friendly. I repeat, this is a must. If you’re passing through and just looking for a room for a few months, this could also be a perfect situation for you. Sorry, but there are no pets allowed in the building.
Now you’re wondering…what does my 1400/month get me? It gets you the following:
- Your room and bathroom
- Water, Hot water, drinking water (I pay for Sparklett’s bottled water), garbage service.
- An off-street parking spot (uncovered)
- A nice, spacious, open, convenient location to call home.
What will you still need to pay for?
- Half of PGE (bill is typically between 50-70/month, meaning 25-35 each)
- Half of Comcast for internet and cable (bill is typically around 150/month, meaning around 75/each). There is a cable hookup in the bedroom as well.
It may seem like I’m extremely detailed, but I promise you, that’s just to make sure that the people that are really interested are the ones writing back. If you send me an email, try to include the following:
