This is a perfect place to live if you work or go to school in New Orleans, including at Ochsner, Tulane, LSU, UNO, Xavier, and Delgado.

I am looking for a roommate ASAP to live in Chalmette, LA! The local area is full of young professionals and friendly young families. It is very safe and very welcoming! (No cats. Dogs welcome.)

The house is brand new, purchased in January 2022 from the builder. It has awesome features, including an open floor plan, gorgeous white shaker cabinets, marble countertops, and stainless appliances. The floors are engineered wood flooring or tile throughout, with NO CARPET! It is a three-bedroom house with a large kitchen and living space with wood floors, huge closets and a mud room. The entire house has vaulted high ceilings. Each room has a large ceiling fan.

The front has a little porch and the back has a deck, which are both big enough for seating for entertaining and relaxing. I have four outdoor chairs outside. The backyard is fenced in and has a concrete pad with space for a grill and outdoor table. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer on site! There is plenty of street parking (which is allowed overnight, no parish/town fees, no permits required) and the driveway has space for one car per roommate. (No upcharge for parking spot.)

Your bedroom is large with a big ceiling fan and spacious closet with shelving and hanging space. It has a nook for a desk or dresser. The bathroom is spacious with a bathtub/shower combo. There is a large linen closet for towels and extra bedding in the bathroom. The bathroom already has a shower curtain and trash bin. In the kitchen, you’ll get private space of a couple of upper cabinets, a couple of drawers and a couple of under-the-counter cabinets to store your personal items. You’ll get private space in the large pantry and mudroom as well.

The kitchen is fully stocked including a fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, beverage fridge, and small countertop appliances, including a Kerig, slow cooker, rice cooker, blender, etc. which you are welcome to use.

In terms of cost, the rent is $800 to $1100 per month (willing to discuss cost, cost per month depends on length of lease) and $800 to $1100 security deposit (depending on credit and length of lease, also willing to discuss), which is due on the date of move-in in the form of a cashier’s check.

All roommates split the cost of internet/wifi, garbage, water, gas, electric, lawn maintenance, and other utilities divided by the number of people living in the house. We already have the utilities set up so it’s one less thing for you to worry about!

You are welcome to use all items in the common space, including fully stocked kitchen, TV with streaming apps, bookshelf, printer, 4-person high top table, stools at countertop, laundry machines, hangers in the common space closets, etc.

I am a medical student at UQ Ochsner on Jefferson Hwy. I am looking for a roommate (or two) who would be interested in living in a fun but quiet home. I study most days of the week and I am out of town most weekends.

Otherwise, I enjoy baking/cooking, taking jogs/walks in the neighborhood, and relaxing by watching movies or having friends over occasionally. I love enjoying what New Orleans has to offer, especially the food scene! I prefer to go out to enjoy my time off instead of staying in.

Right now, I am the only person who is living in the house. There are two bedrooms open and available for rent. If you & a friend are looking for a place to live, this might be a good fit! (And if so, you’ll both get a $50 discount on the rent. Details available upon request.)

My husband lives in the Pensacola panhandle so I go there almost every weekend and for any vacations off from school (aka you get the house ALL TO YOURSELF a lot, and basically every weekend!).

Looking for a roommate who likes dogs! I sometimes dog sit so it’s important that my roommate likes dogs.

I think that a student, recent graduate or young professional would be the best-fit for a roommate :)
