My name is Melody, I’m 34 born and raised in Brooklyn. I currently have a two bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. My sister just moved out because she can afford to live alone, and I’m looking to fill the space asap. The building I live in is pretty awesome. There is a concierge at the front entrance . A gym in the building for workouts, rooftop with grills, we have yoga every Sunday at 10am, 2 quiet lounge areas on the 7th floor that are more for quiet time or if you don’t want to be in the apartment you can work remotely from the lounge space, also one of them can be used to rent out space for a gathering or parties. I have a linen closet and a coat closet. As well as a closet in the room being rented with two side by side windows that let in a lot of light . A large common space (living room) and a beautiful spacious kitchen with lots of cabinet space and a dish washer , 4 stove tops and a flat grill. Ali’s a washer and dryer in the unit! The building is located on Clarkson and Nostrand ave. The space is unfurnished as I plan to decorate little by little as I get my new roommate, and I like minimal furniture for space and less clutter . The building is 1.5 blocks away from the 2 & 5 train which get you into the city quickly. The area is considered little Caribbean- It’s also a 15 min walk from a great popular Brooklyn park called Prospect park. There are groceries, markets, cute food shops and even thrift stores near by. Id love to get to know you all to see who’s a great match. There isn’t any 420/ Drugs friendly in the apt. I also have a sweet cat named Tuna, who’s always following me around so hopefully that’s something you’d consider. Let me know what you think and we can chat further if you are interested. A little about myself: I work for Apple and have a varied schedule but I’m friendly, honest, bubbly, emotionally intelligent, spiritually connected to a higher power whom I call God. I love to read, paint, ride bike, explore the city, bake, and create things! I love listening to music and podcast for self development. I enjoy finding new places to eat if I’m not cooking.. I’m committed to always expanding and growing in areas I need work on, on the inside . I love to have good positive energy in the home space, I love the house to smell good and keep it clean and fresh, of course we have lazy days but for the most part - don’t like to let anything pile up too long. I don’t have company over often, unless it’s family/ my boyfriend (if they do I’d let you know in advance) My closest friends just moved out of state - so I’d be visiting them instead.. but those that do visit won’t be frequent/ if not at all..as they have their own spaces I can share time in. I’m aware of personal space and I like to live and let live, but at the same time I’d like to exchange energy (balanced) as we do live in a space in which we create the dynamic and circulate vibes! I enjoy cooking; very minimal on take out ( mostly for my lazy days) My days off sometimes end up on week days so there will be days I stay in to clean or do laundry and just get the to-dos off my list, or even dedicate it to a self care day. I am in tune with my spirit so I like to keep that as aligned I can, in all my affairs . I’m grateful and do my work to remain in gratitude for this beautiful life I have.
