About the room
Hi there, I’m John, a GWM looking for a roommate to move in by the end of June. I don’t need to live with another gay person, but you have to be comfortable with me or it won’t work out. The rest: I’m 48 years old, from NYC originally but have been in LA for the last ten years. I have my own business teaching the card game bridge, and in my spare time I play a lot of tennis and work out a good amount. I guess I’d describe myself as a laid-back introvert; I’m not the most social but am easy to get to know one-on-one, with an Ivy League education, a very steady personality, and a good sense of humor. I tend to get along very well with younger people, but regardless of age I’m looking for someone with a steady enough income who’s friendly and chill. My last roommate was one of my best friends, so I’m looking for someone I can connect with personally. Also, just to be clear, I’m looking for a roommate but the place isn’t mine, so any potential roommate will have to be approved by my landlord as well as me. :)
As for the property, it’s really quite a good deal. There are eight units in the building; mine has an entrance set back from the street so there’s no real noise. The apartment is reasonably sized with a great layout so there’s no wasted space and lots of light. There’s a comfortable dining and living area and a good-sized open kitchen, and the bedroom you’d be renting is also comfortably sized with a lot of closet space. There’s also an outdoor area in the back with chairs and a hammock that’s really nice when the weather’s warm, and the place is centrally located with easy access to the 10, so you can get pretty much anywhere easily. Move-in date is officially June 30, but sooner may be possible if need be. If you want more details, please hit me up!
