2nd Avenue

Hi! We’re looking to fill a third bedroom in our apartment in the UES / Yorkville area. Our current roommate is moving in with her boyfriend (happy for her, but sad for us) so we’re looking for another great person to take her place. We’ve lived here about 5 years and are really happy with the apartment / area - it’s a gem!

About the roomies: We’re two women in our late twenties, working in advertising and product management. Both laid back, happy, nice people. We keep the apartment clean, like to drink wine or grab dinner…or keep to ourselves on the latest Netflix binge. We don’t usually bring the party back, but are happy to have people over.

About the apartment:

This is a one-year lease starting June 1 Rent is $1000 per month The open room is on the smaller side, but fits a full bed and has it’s own closet. She’s also willing to sell her furniture if you need it! Dishwasher Washer / Dryer in the building and two laundry mats on the block Super lives in the building Utilities per month are usually about $60 - $80 per person, we only pay electric and internet. The land lord requires you make 40x the rent and provide proof of employment + security deposit. He’ll also run a credit check. He’s strict when it comes to qualifying, so it’s helpful to have a guarantor, but not necessary.

About the area: The apartment is on the corner of 2nd Avenue and 89th Street, surrounded by great restaurants and bars. We’re 3 blocks from the new Q train or about a 7 minute walk to the 4/5/6. The Q train makes it easy to get to the west side, downtown quickly, or into Brooklyn. The East River park is about a 7 minute walk and Central Park is about a 15 minute walk. We also have about every gym or grocery store you could imagine within a few blocks.
