Ridgewood Road

We’re a couple in our early 30’s looking for a roommate to take the upstairs unfurnished bedroom or the downstairs furnished bedroom in the five bedroom house we’re renting. We’re both uconn residents. Our third roommate is going to be a friend of mine. She’s in her 30s and works in administration. The house has a shared kitchen with a dishwasher, living room with cable and back porch with a grill. It’s right on the water with a nice view of the lake which you can also see from the bedroom. The upstairs bedroom has two closets in the room and a bathroom that is not connected, but is private. The walls are no longer that dark purple and have painted a neutral beige.

The downstairs room has an ensuite bathroom and is furnished with a queen bed, mini fridge, couch and free standing closet which is pretty basic… it’s nice because it has a seperate entrance to the backyard which past tenants liked for privacy.

We have a huge fenced in back yard with a hammock. There’s laundry in the basement. The driveway has more than enough parking spaces. We’re a pretty laid back couple who spend a decent amount of time at home. Clean but not neat freaks. Both working professionals so looking for someone with a similar mentality. The the entire property is nonsmoking. We ask that anyone who move in just be relatively respectful of noise etc. We both wake up before the sun rises most days. Anyone who moves in should be pet friendly as we recently adopted a puppy! We’re not sure how she’s going to react to new animals so that will have to be on a case by case basis. Utilities and cable/wifi not included. Utilities average $150/person/month. Usually we spend $100/person/month in the summer and $200/person/month in the winter. Cable/wifi is $30/person/month. Close to the mall, Trader Joe’s, restaurants, target, etc. 2 min drive to 84 E/W. There is also a local bus line a 2 minute walk away which takes you into downtown West Hartford and downtown Hartford that runs on our street. Also close to all major hospitals in the area, Uconn, HH, St Fran. Can’t beat the location!
