About the room

The room is very large. It could technically be a living room, but I’m using it as a second bedroom because the apartment is too big not to share. It features 3 6’ bay windows, and another side window that all let in a lot of sunlight. It has it’s own exterior door and an interior door that opens into the kitchen.

The apartment is an old brick Victorian with lots of antique charm. It features a living room that is identical to the bedroom, a large eat-in kitchen with lots of cabinet space, a large bathroom with walk-in shower, and porch that has been winterized and converted into a sunroom.

Located only a few blocks from Main Street, it’s within easy walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping, but still far enough away to be in a quiet neighborhood. Right around the corner from government buildings, like the statehouse, historical society, federal courthouse, and legislative building, there’s plenty of beautiful architecture to be appreciated. White park is within walking distance, and there are two laundromats very close by.

About the roomies

I’m a 28 year old professional working in the tech industry. I work from home, and keep a very clean and organized apartment. My passions are photography, rock climbing, astrophysics, hiking, and cooking. I usually cook meals for everyone (at least for dinner) and I always keep a well stocked refrigerator and pantry. I’m a bit of a nerd. I love sci-fi, fantasy, anime, manga and even a little casual gaming.

I have a cat and some plants, and I’m accepting of most pets (I don’t mind creepy crawlies at all). I’m generally pretty quiet, but I occasionally listen to music while I work, or watch TV in the evenings. I’m very mindful of other people’s privacy and I appreciate others who are equally respectful, but I try to be open and inviting when appropriate. I occasionally invite friends over to visit, but always in small and quiet gatherings. I do not smoke or use recreational drugs of any kind, and I very rarely consume alcohol. I expect a roommate to be similarly responsible and lawful.

I maintain my apartment as a safe space for all people of color and LGBTQ+ identifying individuals. I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and strictly follow all CDC guidelines to protect myself and others from infection. While I support everyone’s right to choose vaccination, I do often visit with an older parent and I take the health and safety of my family very seriously.
