Looking for a roommate starting June 15th or July 1st for a 1-year lease.

You: I’m looking for someone who is easy to get along with, interested in hanging out once in a while, as well as independent and respectful of quiet hours (because: work). You are OK with splitting chores (including cleaning the bathroom), taking care of the space and communicative, particularly when it comes to guests and events. No full-time WFH applicants. Ideally looking for someone who will be in a residency or graduate program.

The Apartment: This third-floor walk-up (top floor) is large, sunny and bright. Safe location, and a 1-block walk to Purple and Brown line trains (Wellington stop). High ceilings, updated kitchen (including dishwasher), coin laundry in building, easy street parking (permit), central A/C and heat. Bonus den room used as guest room/study. Credit check or cosigner is required. Shared spaces are furnished (please note: a new couch has been purchased; living room now has couch and two accent chairs).

The Room: Private unfurnished room with large closet, fits a queen or king size bed, 2 nightstands, and dresser. Please note: second door in room leads to enclosed stairway to basement for laundry. I use the door when needing to do laundry.

Other logistics: No pets No smoking Rent: $1000/month, utilities (heat, gas, internet/cable) not included Security Deposit: 1 month (no move-in fee) No subletting out your room.

I have lived in this building for three years and it is an excellent location and amazing apartment. I live in the smaller room and we currently split rent according to room size. I’m a female, early thirties, working professional with a busy life outside of work. When at home, I enjoy watching sports and TV shows (Packer fans and reality TV fans are a plus). I do occasionally have friends over or host a party. I will always check in prior to either and request the same if you will be having friends over or wish to host a party.
