About the room
This building is located right in downtown Portland and is great if (like me) you don’t have a car. It’s a 3 unit building, the other 2 units are occupied by a young couple and a single mom and daughter. The landlord is super chill (is only ever around when something needs to be fixed), and it’s located in a safe area. There’s usually on street parking available, but we don’t have an actual parking lot. Gas and electric ends up being around $100/month total during the colder months when the heat is on. There’s a laundromat a 3-4 minute walk down Danforth, but no washer or dryer in the building. Your room is mostly furnished, we have tons of built-ins, but it no longer has a bed frame. My current roommate got rid of it because it was terrible (the previous tenants left it when they moved out). I also recently got a small table for the living room area.
About the roomies
My current roommate is great, but she’s moving back in with her mom due to health and financial issues. I’m a 24 year old female MECA grad with a very low-key lifestyle. I work 2 jobs and am mostly in the apartment to eat and sleep. I don’t drink, smoke, or have parties but I don’t mind if you do. I like to cook and I’m very clean. Stephen (the landlord) allows pets on a case by case basis. Personally I’d prefer not to live with any heavily shedding animals due to allergies but I’m flexible.
