About the place: This is a gorgeous duplex in a nice, quiet Manhattan Beach neighborhood. -The first floor features a two-car garage with plenty of storage space (pic seen here has roommates stuff, most of the storage space is available). -The common space on the second floor features a spacious furnished kitchen, a furnished dining room overlooking the balcony, a living room furnished with a couch and featuring a fireplace, a laundry room, and closet storage. -The top floor has another storage closet and two bedrooms (each with their own full bathroom and closet), one belonging to me and the other could be yours! The room that is opening up is the larger of the two with a nice window that lets in a lot of light and fresh air. The place is amazing and rent is below average for the area. The room is unfurnished but common spaces are furnished.

About the area: The neighborhood is great, with countless great restaurants, shopping centers, and grocery stores within walking distance. LAX is about a 15min drive. Manhattan Beach Pier is 1.3 miles away, I walk there often to catch gorgeous sunsets. Polliwog Park is a 4-minute walk away. It has a nice walking path, pool, public exercise equipment, and even a meditation garden. The park across the street has tennis and basketball courts. Manhattan Beach Library is down by the beach. Plenty of Grocery options very close including Ralph’s, Gelson’s, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and boutique grocery stores.

About you: I am open to a roommate of any gender or age as long as you are communicative, tidy, responsible, and respectful. No drugs, smoking, loud noise (e.g. excessively loud music), and parties (small gatherings are fine). Ideally seeking a professional with regular work hours who doesn’t bring the party home. I work from home so it’s best if my roommate works away from home, but this is something we can chat about. Also prefer someone who does not have people over frequently (obviously having occasional guests is fine, I just don’t want to end up with a 2nd roommate). I am sensitive to noise and often have to go to sleep early, so it makes life a bit easier if my roommate is respectful with noise. Room available to 1 person only; no couples and no pets.

About me: I am a 34 year old woman who works from home in tech as a product researcher; I formerly worked in education for a decade. I’ve been living here for 2 years since returning from working in Mauritius. I have lived and traveled around the world but as a California native, it’s good to finally be back in such a gorgeous place! I am very quiet, tidy, and respectful. I am somewhat of a social introvert, so while I value my alone time I also enjoy occasionally hanging out. In my free time, I like to travel, spend time with loved ones, visit museums, hike, go to the beach, ride my bike, exercise, or just take it easy at home. I rarely have people over; I stay at my partner’s place when visiting her and hang out with my friends primarily at restaurants and outdoor spaces. These are just some things I thought were worth mentioning but I’m generally pretty laid back and easy to live with.
