Market Street

The Tower. It resides in the upper north-wing corner, cool-view-of-the-national-cemetery-side of the house/mansion. The large trees in the front yard absorb most market street sounds and feels like they protect the home in all kinds of mystical ways. The Tower comes furnished with a king size bed, dresser, large desk, epic sunrises through the much-larger-than-today’s-standard-of-large-windows, windows, and there will probably be some weird/fun/beautiful/perhaps provocative art, maybe left behind by me the person writing this, John Elliott Gray, this was my bedroom for a decade. The Tower is $690 a month.

Also… There is a shared bathroom that features a big ol’ porcelain tub and sink. There’s a shared kitchen that connects to the back roof with views of the stained glass window and National Cemetery sunsets. There’s a shared living room with cool library of books, movies and board games. There’s a clothes washer and dryer. There’s a sheltered brick patio/porch that’s an amazing place to hang out in a rain storm or any other time as well. All this resides in a historic, 108 year old Wilmington home conveniently located a block away from Wallace Park, Port City Java, Burnt Mill Creek (the Bar and the actual creek. Pro tip: The hike along Burnt Mill Creek, the creek, is typically, in my opinion, more fun filled than getting filled at Burnt Mill Creek, the Bar.)

The Neighborhood is filled with old trees, a surprising number of old graveyards, old houses that contain interesting neighbors that you will most likely learn something from if you greet them proper. It’s a 5 minute car ride to downtown. A 20 minute car ride to Wrightsville Beach. A 45 minute car ride to Carolina Beach. It’s a 10 minute bike ride to downtown. A 2 hour bike ride to Wrightsville Beach. A 2 day bike camp journey to Carolina Beach (I like to take my time). It’s a 30 minute, quite lovely, walk to downtown. A pretty long walk to Wrightsville or Carolina Beach,but only a block away walk to the bus stop that can take you to those places. There’s ample street parking at the mansion and some driveway parking, which is 1st come 1st serve.Thanks for considering living here.
