I’m midway through my lease at this house and my previous roommate found a place to buy. Base rent is a little over $2000 with no utilities included. I’m in the master so I’m paying a bit more of the base. I would like to split utilities which are usually around $300 - $350 / month total. Call it $175 each as a good number to budget for.

Unfortunately, this lease is very specific about pets and smoking (particularly pot) so both are pretty hard no’s. The room is private and furnished with a queen bed and a $3500 hybrid foam mattress. The rest of the house is pretty well furnished as well but could fit a few other pieces if you have them. There’s a shared office space the could easily house another desk–my previous roommate and I shared that space so half of it is empty at the moment.

I can rent immediately and would like to have someone move in as soon as possible. I do require a background check and We will need to add you to the lease through my property management company, but otherwise the room is yours.

I’m an introvert and I treat home as a space to recharge. I’m not against having a more extroverted roommate–I’ve had a few previously including several of my siblings–but would appreciate not having people at the house all the time. I’m generally pretty quiet and tidy. Cleanliness goes a long way with me. I like vinyl, woodworking, and golf for hobbies. It would be great to have a golf buddy around.
