About the room

Hey, everyone. One of our roommates is moving out at the end of the month and we are looking for someone to take her room by the 1st of April. We are located in Van Nuys by the 405, so traveling is very convenient, there are lots of restaurants and businesses nearby along with a few grocery stores; Costco is close too. We split the rent evenly, which is a month-to-month lease - currently, $699.33/month (water included) and you’ll get your own room with a private bath; the room is approximately 14’ x 14’, I believe. Utilities generally come out to just short of $100/ month, and there are washers and dryers right across the hall. The unit is on the third (top) floor, and there is a lot of street parking between the main road and the side, residential streets in the area. Our current roommate has her own parking spot because she rents it from another tenant, so that might be something that could be carried over to you as well. If anyone has any questions, please, don’t hesitate to ask either with a message or comment here. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

About the roomies

A little about myself and the other roommate. I currently work from home, but that looks like it will be changing soon, seems to be the case with a lot of businesses now, which is good. Haha. I have a very inquisitive, cute, sweet, and friendly cat named Frumpkin. I’m a big nerd/geek who plays DnD almost every Sunday with my group, I watch/study a lot of TV/film, I write, mainly sci-fi and fantasy, read, paint miniatures, 3D print, and love music. Rob is the other roommate who occupies the smaller room. He goes to school and works, so he’s frequently out of the apartment. We are both very respectful, clean, polite, considerate, and like to keep the atmosphere here healthy and positive. We are the type of people to converse and work out our differences when they might arise, so there isn’t any toxic behavior, passive-aggressiveness, or anything remotely untoward. Naturally, we are looking for the same in a roommate, and we are LGBTQ friendly; there’s no room for hate in this apartment.
