Lee's room

This is a 2010, cathedral ceiling, open-floor plan, three bedroom one story with a large room-over-garage and two car garage. There is also a family room with a large tv, a gas fireplace, and French doors that open to a large covered back patio with Adirondack chairs, and you are welcome to use it. The back of the house is almost all glass and faces my small yard that has a dense tree line behind it. The yard will be fenced in November, when a doggie door is also being installed. There is also a large covered porch in the front, as well as a smallish front yard and an empty lot on one side. The house on the other side is very close but the elderly neighbor is quite the sunny extrovert. The bedrooms all have new hardwood floors, the room over garage has new (but cheap) carpet, and the rest of the flooring is tile.

The entire neighborhood is pretty small and fairly new. A few residents walk during the evening, and although there are no sidewalks vehicle traffic is very light and very polite. We have a police detective that lives a few houses down and many retired couples that are often home. There are also some families with children of various ages. Very safe.

I take one of the parking spaces in the garage, and use the master suite and the dining room as an office. I don’t even use the family room very much as I don’t watch much TV. The kitchen and laundry room would be shared. The kitchen is modern with generous counter space and centrally located. If you like to cook or bake, have at it but please leave it reasonably clean when done.

I have three small dogs and the elderly one (rat terrier) likes the power loveseat in the family room, but will share. Being old she is very mellow. In addition to the rat terrier I have two mini dachshunds (from a prior relationship) that are very friendly and loving, but bark like hell at large dogs and some kids. Nonetheless, if they can get along with your pets, the more the merrier.

You can have two of the bedrooms, your own full bath between them, and the room-over-garage (which is fairly large) all to yourself. One of these bedrooms has a king size bed with a new foam mattress, a night stand, and a dresser that I’d like to keep in there but you can use all of it. The other bedroom is empty and is set up with two accesses so it could be used as an office (I prefer the better light in the dining room). There is no furniture in the room-over-garage and the living room is sparsely furnished but I have stuff in storage.

The only current occupant is me. I’m a male, middle aged, introverted, divorced environmental scientist new to Oklahoma with more house than I need. I’m very quiet but pretty tolerant of noise. I very rarely drink and am allergic to smoke. I am fully vaccinated and will require proof of vaccination.

I’m hoping for 1 to 3 female renters (trying for less boisterous), a couple that doesn’t fight a lot, or a single parent with a child if the child will not be a problem with my dogs. You must be nonsmoker(s), not slob(s), and would need to be reasonably quiet when I’m working from home or trying to sleep during the work week. You must have no past or present serious substance abuse problems or significant issues on a background report, but otherwise I don’t care. Except, no live-in or nearly live-in friends during the work week, although weekends are your business.

Price would increase a little with each additional roommate. Price is negotiable if you are willing to watch the dogs when I’m away, or help clean, or water outside.
