Blake's room

Hi, I’m Blake! I’m looking for a roommate to share my garden level apartment in Humboldt Park starting on October 1st (flexible). The rent is 675 + utilities.

The space - 2 bed, 1 bath (you’d have a private room and a shared bathroom) big living/dining area, good size kitchen, lots of natural light (especially in the available room), coin op washer & dryer just down the hall. Since it’s on the ground floor, the apartment stays pretty cool in the summer especially with one in-window A/C unit in the living room, and you can definitely put one in your room also if you’d like. No smoking in the building, but courtyard area is open to do so.

Location - Super close to Humboldt Park. About a mile and a half from the middle of Logan Square and Ukrainian Village (10 mins by bike, 30 walking). Street parking is always available either on our street or on Kedzie along the park. The neighbors in the building are very friendly.

About you - Vaccinated. Need to be respectful and accepting of all people. Someone who also likes to keep the shared spaces clean.

Pets - Small pets are welcome, but it is $25 per month more.

IMPORTANT - 99% of the stuff in the apartment right now is my current roommate’s, which he will take when he leaves. So if you have a lot of your own stuff to bring, perfect. If not, we can furnish and decorate the place together depending on how involved you want to be, which I am stoked for!

About me - I’m 27 (he/him) and I like to play soccer, go dancing (when safe to do so), and read SF. I also enjoy cooking and playing games (chess, board games, PC games) but don’t do that stuff nearly as much as I’d like. I work typical work week hours at a preschool/kindergarten.
