Ascot Drive

I have an unfurnished (might be able to provide a bed and desk for a fee) room for rent in fully furnished home opening August 1st. Let me know if you’re interested! About the space; 3br/1ba home with vaulted ceilings, large windows, fresh carpet, laminate wood flooring, and tile. Home is located in nice calm side of Eugene with easy commute to all side of town. Near Trader Joes, Costco, Oakway and Gateway. Right on the route 12 busline.

I am only looking to rent 1 room, and not super interested in couples (although I would consider for the right people and an increase in rent/utilities), and I would also consider children (no infants). The shared spaces are fully furnished and stocked with all the necessities and then some. I’ve provided lots of amenities, equipment and tools for home use. There is a large amount of storage in the hallway, some of which is sectioned for house hold supplies such as TP/PT. The bathroom has tub and shower, large mirror, laminate floor and is not cramped.

There are 3 yards (2 fenced) which we as tenants are responsible for caring for with an exception for mowing. There’s covered off street parking, and the bus stop is steps from the front door. I have provided patio furniture, kiddy pool, bbq, fire pit, and hundreds of dollars into the renovation of the outdoor areas. As for inside, there’s a sizable library of books to enjoy, a decent collection of dvds and board games, as well as a 60 in smart TV (equipped with Hulu, Netflix, Disney plus, HBO Max, and Amazon) and a PS4 in the shared space. I’ve supplied a washer a dryer which you’re welcome to use as long as you take good care of it (no shoes, diapers, or over loading and use HE detergent). Yoga mats, weights, foam rollers, inversions table and more are also available for shared use. There is a carport with power, and enough parking for 6 cars when hosting.

The room for rent is the largest room in the house, with 2 closets, one of which is exceptionally large. There is a large (full sun) window, and a good separation of space. The spare room has a pull out tempurpedic sofa for guests and a desk area for remote learning/work (there is room for a second desk or book shelves). Utilities are spilt evenly, but I don’t ask for help with streaming services and the home insurance. Comcast, EWEB, and Lane apex are our only shared utilities. It varies seasonally based on consumption. When attentive it’s very affordable.

About us; I’m 29 and an executive chef at a local Natural Foods Store , which means I’m not home for a lot of the day, and I often times bring home treats. I am a demisexual, 420 friendly, omnivorous, openminded, beer savvy lady. I love to be out in nature, deep in the woods, at the coast, or out in the country. But I also love eating my way through big cities, enjoying live music, and simply hanging out at home. If you’re homophobic, racist, trump supporting, or cruel to animals, you can kick rocks. I live with my best friend/fur child Anavi, she’s an 8 year old lab mix, who loves her peoples and making new furever friends. Anavi is the ultimate rescue success story, but she will bark at strangers who come into the house (I’ve never desired to train that out of her personally). She’s great with other dogs and with kids. I’m open to other pets as is the landlord, but no indoor cats or rodents due to allergies, dogs considered based on temperament, training, and ability to pay deposit, and help clean up after them (no breed or weight restrictions). Pets will need to meet myself, Anavi, and the landlord.

My current housemate and I have the best dynamic and I’m really bummed to see him go (he got a job opportunity out of town). He and I would be pretty independent keep to ourselves on a lot of work nights. While other times we cook together and like to host small bbqs, tie dye party’s, board game nights, etc. We go out to eat frequently, take Anavi for adventures, and celebrate holidays together. We found the perfect balance of interaction and independence. Im hoping to find that or something similar in my future housemate. Also as much as I enjoy doing things together is is not mandated. A couple of things to know about living with me; my dog comes first, this is not a party house, and I’m looking for a long term tenant(s). No powders, no staying on the couch wooks, no destructive and reckless people please. I do smoke tobacco outside, I do smoke cannabis indoors occasionally, I do drink beer frequently but I don’t like getting drunk. I have lived here for almost 3 years and have a great relationship with my landlord. He is here frequently to help with yard work, so if you are concerned with that for whatever reason this is not the right place for you. I don’t want to go into details for too long, but it’s of the utmost importance for me to find the right person, and have a clear understanding from the get go. Somethings to know about the house; the room is $775 (I can work with the right person within reason) + 1/2 of utilities and pitch on basic provisions, IE toilet paper, soap, sponges etc. Although it’s a month to month lease, I’m not really interested in temporary housing.
