Quincy Street

The apartment is a three-bedroom apartment in Somerville. The apartment is one-quarter of a house. The other three units are also three bedrooms and all the neighbors are lovely. There is also a living room, bathroom, and kitchen. The apartment is currently furnished. There is a front porch, back porch, and backyard. On warmer days, we enjoy sitting on the back porch and hanging out. The backyard is a social space for all tenants. If you’d like, you are welcome to plant things in the backyard. The apartment also has a basement with laundry machines. All of the tenants have access to the basement and laundry. It is a shared, respected space. The laundry is in the basement is coin op.

The location is amazing. Both the grocery store and post office are one block away. If you walk down the main street one way, you will be at Union square which sports many food options and cute shops, my favorites are the Japanese supermarket and gourmet donut shop. Go the other way, and you’ll reach porter square, another great place for shopping and food. Our apartment is also situated within a couple of miles of Harvard Square, Davis Square, Ball Square, and Assembly Square. We are just west of Boston, and just north of Cambridge and Brookline.

There are currently two people staying in the apartment. Josh is an undergraduate student at Boston College and Abi is an undergraduate student at Lesley University. Josh enjoys making music, fashion, and exploring new places. Abi is vegan, and loves plants, animals, and enjoys a cozy environment.

We all tend to wake up early and stay up late, but no one makes too much noise. We all keep to ourselves during the day and we get along really well. We split cleaning responsibilities for the shared spaces such as mopping and sweeping, and we have a cleaning schedule on the fridge that everyone abides by. Roommates are expected to be in charge of their own dishes, and preferably wash them within a day of usage. Everyone is expected to clean after themselves and take care of their own items. We don’t mind gatherings and overnight guests as long as it is discussed beforehand.

We are seeking to move in someone who is preferably younger - perhaps a student or just starting their career - but we are open to other options. The new roommate must be clean and tidy and willing to do their share in keeping the place clean. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable and good at communicating. We want to maintain a friendly environment.

The rent for each room is $1033 per month which is an equal third of the total rent: $3100. If you are interested in the apartment we can set up a time to get to know each other virtually.
