Hi there! We are a 34yo(f) & 27yo(m) couple looking for one more mellow couple (preferably ages 25-35) to rent out a beautiful 4bd/2-ba house with us that we’ve already secured. Ideally, you’d move in somewhere around June 24th , and hoping to find someone for a one year lease or longer. The 3rd bedroom will be a communal Guestroom for occasional overnight guests. And the 4th smaller bedroom would be a library/den that would somewhat function as a second living room. We have a 7yo Newfoundland dog who is very sweet and well behaved, but large. Most people adore him. We’re so sorry, but the homeowners requested that there be no other animals in the house, and they’re not willing to make an exception on that :,,( (sigh).

THE HOUSE DETAILS:

Completely renovated, 2-story, 1,600 sq ft, 100+ year old house with redwood plank front porch. Located right on Morena Blvd next to Mission Bay and Pacific Beach, it has a LARGE front and back yard with a very spacious driveway. There are 3 functioning bedrooms, 2 full-baths, an enclosed extra 11’x12’ den room, a dining room, large kitchen, living room, laundry room, and walk-in pantry… so, incredibly spacious once we get it all set up especially with the yard spaces. We’ll be moving in in a couple weeks from now when the reno’s are finished, hence the photos showing the house still being under renovation and no landscaping yet! We will have the bigger of the upstairs 2 rooms. The second upstairs bedroom will be a guest room. You can use the guest room upstairs for an occasional overnight guest. F loves to decorate and is in interior design school, so the house is going to be exceptionally BEAUTIFUL, we promise (it’ll be a higher-end “farmhouse” style). It has central air A/C and heat and all brand new appliances–(plus brand new windows, flooring, lighting fixtures, cabinetry, bathrooms etc… really everything).

The house is very centrally located. Easy bike to Mission Bay, Pacific Beach and Ocean Beach. 10-15min drive to Downtown SD, La Jolla, North Park, Fashion Valley and with a soon to be trolly station nearby just up the street.

(FYI, rent for the whole house is $4,200/mon & deposit $8,400.)

YOUR ROOM:

The soon-to-be available room is approximately 12’x12’ plus a large double closet (pretty spacious!), has 3 windows, and is on the ground level further down the hall from the kitchen. The main level full-bath is right across the hallway. Monthly rent would be due just before the 1st of each month–$2,100 split between the couple. All utilities including the wifi would be split evenly every month between all 4 of us. The $8,400 deposit is split 4-ways, so $2,100 a person.

Our desired qualities as a house…

• Appreciate and be willing to help maintain very clean & neat environment (i.e. dishes done right away, personal things not left out in common areas, everyone does regular cleaning agreed on)
• Work full-time job or full-time student (preferably not from home once workplaces are open again)
• Non-smoker/non-drug user (No smoking or drug use in or around the house. Casual occasional drinking is fine.) Looking for a couple who is not in the party-ing stage of life.
• We tend to have a lower level of guests at the home and will send a quick text if someone is coming over to be courteous and also clear overnight guests with each other in advance.
• Super “high-energy,” louder, or overly talkative people as housemates aren’t an ideal match for us.
