LARGE Room for rent in a 2bed/1.5bath apartment on the Westside in Mar Vista. Move in Date is in June, we are flexible if you need to move in a bit earlier. I am posting this on behalf of my Roomate. I will be moving out mid June to take a gap year so looking to find a wonderful person to move into my room and enjoy the apartment I have loved so much the past 3 years. The room being rented is a massive 11x12ft located at the end of the hallway in the apartment (furthest from the kitchen/living room/etc.) What’s even better is you can utilize the entire rooms’ wall space because there’s no closet in the bedroom. You will have the double doored closet space right outside the bedroom door with a single shelf across the whole closet and a single bar for hangers. Closet measures about 5 ½ feet across. There is a second closet in the hallway that is the same size, half of it is closet space for the second bedroom and the other half is a shared storage space. As far as the bathrooms are concerned, we treat the full bathroom as a “shared” bathroom and the half bath as a guest bathroom, but since the guest bath is directly across from the second bedroom, my Roommate tends to use it more frequently, leaving the main bath more or less shared for the shower space only and for shared storage. You can have the room partly furnished (excluding bed and night stand) but with dresser, lamps, corner desk, and shoe rack, or you are welcome to bring all of your own.About the Apartment: Apartment is in a prime location in all respects, it is an upper back corner unit in a 9-unit complex only sharing one wall (hallway wall) with the neighboring unit and it’s located above the parking spots leaving you free to stomp and scream (if you’re into that sort of thing lol). There are tons of windows that fill the apartment with a lot of natural light and since the apartment is in the back of the building and off the Main Street, it’s strangely very quiet. Located near the intersection of Venice Blvd and Centinela Ave walking distance from, well, everything! Local Coffee shops, CVS, convenient stores, Mar Vista Farmers Market (Sundays), Grand View Market, Mitsuwa Japanese Market, Vons, and a 3 mile straight shot down Venice Blvd to Venice Beach! You will have full access to the apartment (this isn’t one of those weird posts asking people to stay in their rooms and stay silent lol) The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials for cooking etc. as well as the living room in terms of furniture and things. That being said if you have things, you’d like to bring in to decorate/furnish the apartment you are totally welcome to! You will be paying half the rent after all, so we want you to feel like this is your home too! Here are some more details on the apartment:

• A/C in unit
• Coin-op Laundry right downstairs
• One shared parking port (street parking is never difficult)
• Active accounts on all your favorite streaming apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon,etc.) - Utilities run about $100 per person each month (WiFi, Gas, and Electric)
• Security deposit is $600 (half of the full $1200 we paid at move-in)

He is a lovely, energetic and accepting human being who will always make you feel at home, plus he’s funny as hell. He’s well-traveled, well educated, loves activities indoors and out, and is always craving new knowledge making him one of my favorite conversationalists ever! Blake is in his early 30’s and works full time locally in the service industry and keeps himself very busy. That being said, he is typically out the door in the mornings and home late most days, depending on his schedule, leaving the apartment a very open space. We are looking for someone who holds the same sort of lifestyle, not someone who will be home at the apartment every waking moment. After all, everybody likes to enjoy some peaceful solo time now and then, and this is such an ideal space to do it! This is a safe, happy space meant to be enjoyed and so naturally, we are looking to fill the room with someone who is respectful, tidy, mindful of others and not a total lunatic ;) We like to utilize our space to host friends from time to time to play games, drink wine and the occasional pack of Budweiser to keep us humble lol. Not only would we love you to always join us, but we want you to feel comfortable to do the same while, again, being considerate and respectful to not be throwing raging parties every weekend. We like to have fun, don’t get me wrong, but we’re not 21 anymore…
