About the room

Looking for a summer sublet to fill the first floor room in our gorgeous 3 br/4.5 bath RiNo/Curtis Park townhouse from June 1st - August 31st, with option to extend at that point if you would like! We are 2 young professionals (30M and 32F) with a well-behaved dog and cat. Rent is $1333/month pp, which includes high-speed internet, and utilities run about $50/month pp (no cable but we pretty much have all the apps).

Your room: bottom floor room with a full bathroom, its own large private patio, and direct access to the garage so you have your own private entrance. A former roommate fit a California King bed and a large standing desk well in the space. Some cons: (1) closet space is limited but there is plenty of room for a clothes rack or armoire and other closet space throughout the house; (2) the stairs from the main (2nd) floor lead down to the bedroom and the room does not have an actual door (see pictures). You can’t see directly into the room from the stairs, and our roommate had a white noise machine and said that it worked fine to drown out any noise, but we are quiet and mindful of noise during normal hours!

The house: fully furnished, modern 4-story townhouse (2000+ sq ft) with an electric fireplace, back patio (though no yard), and an amazing 4th floor with a garage-door rooftop terrace looking out to the mountains, a gas grill, a full bathroom, beer fridge, and plenty of space to garden/have plants. The bedroom comes unfurnished, and we ideally wouldn’t want to add common space furniture as we’ve spent a lot of time furnishing the place, but plants are always welcome, both indoor and outdoor! There is an underground 2-car garage and your rent comes with a spot (and/or you can use the space for storage). There is plenty of on-street parking for visitors, as well. New washer/dryer on the 3rd floor. The house is only 4 blocks to Larimer Street where all the bars/restaurants/music venues are located. We’re also right on the bike path to downtown Denver and it’s an easy ~7 minute ride to Union Station. It’s been an incredible space to quarantine!

The pets: one 5-year old shepherd mutt who is the most quiet and gentle girl in the whole world and one 13-year old cat who just hangs around, meows when he’s hungry or wants to go outside, and does not ruin furniture, swat things off surfaces, sit in boxes, etc. He’s also weirdly hypo-allergenic so even if you have a slight allergy, it probably won’t impact you. They are both very low-maintenance and pretty much just exist in the house. Preferably no additional pets but would consider an older, very chill dog.

About the roomies

Us: We are both active, work in tech (8/9-5 work schedule), are plant/food/travel/outdoor lovers, CU grads (sko Buffs), love a clean space (and are super considerate of each others’ spaces), individually have busy social lives, and are overall pretty normal. We are also vaccinated. There’s a lot of overlap but 30M: Colorado native and 32F: NYC native who’s lived in Colorado for 8 years. Unless we have people over (as the world is getting vaccinated, this is usually the case on weekends and we’ll have friends over here and there), we’re either out, watching TV (there’s also a second communal TV on the top floor), cooking, or working in our rooms. We’re hoping to find another young professional who is financially responsible, clean, LGBTQ/420-friendly, anti-Trump and overall chill and considerate.
