14 MINUTES FROM UC DAVIS (ACTUAL) WALMART & SHOPPING CENTERS 5 MINS AWAY

Unlike all of the other rooms for rent here in West Sacramento or such advertised for students, this home isn’t located in the middle of nowhere. We got this home specifically because it is a few blocks away from the entrance to I-80, along with I-50 (but far enough away so it’s still quiet). You don’t have to drive up some long one lane road for 20 minutes to get to society. It’s located between two highways, a skip away (~5 mins) from both the West Sacramento IKEA and Walmart, and the same distance away from Natamos Crossing. Neighborhood name is The Cove by Beazer Homes. The location for us was very particular, as my Wife has to make her commute to UC Davis every morning and afternoon come this fall, when classes are in person.

There are two bedrooms, one is 10’-1“x11’-10“ ($1000 per month) and one is 12’-4“x10’ ($1100 per month), and they both have easy access to an adjacent full bath. The smaller one will most likely come with a twin size mattress, and the larger one a queen. I will likely be putting mini-fridges in each room as well, to prevent cluttering of the main fridge downstairs. However, I haven’t decided yet, maybe let me know what your preferences or thoughts are. There is plentiful street parking as well, both in the front and around. Garage space will be reserved for me and Wife’s car, along with a small engineering workshop, possibly.

House will have full-speed AT&T gigabit fiber, and WiFi to match, or faster if I can get my hands on it. 4K TV is downstairs. Google Homes are in most rooms, you can easily use it by connecting your phone to WiFi and downloading the Google Home app. Brand new smart Samsung washer and dryers. You will have access to the laundry room at your leisure. Also, a maid will be coming by the house, probably weekly or bi-weekly, depending. If you would like him/her to clean your room for you, take out any trash, vacuuming, it will be an extra $50 per month charge or so, possibly cheaper, depending on the rate I end up getting. Free access to a beautiful kitchen!

Finally, there is a neighborhood center, with a gym, park, pool, and playground just across the street, so you have full access to that.

Just to tell you a bit about ourselves, the house will be occupied by me and my Wife. I am an engineer (went to USC), and my Wife is doing her PhD in Computer Science at UC Davis.

This is a musical house, so you might occasionally hear some music being played (during reasonable hours of course). If that might be a bother for you, I’d suggest you look elsewhere for accommodations. That being said, that also means you are free to play loud music, from speakers or from an instrument. I actually like hearing music being played.

That being said, I will be going overseas for schooling this July for 6 months or so, which means my Wife will be alone to manage herself and the house. So probably you won’t be hearing any loud music while I’m gone.

Since it will just be my Wife alone for a good period of time, there is a STRONG preference that they are students, either at UC Davis or somewhere else. Even stronger preferences if your parents can co-sign a lease with you. Would love someone with similar values as well.

This is a cat friendly home. We have two older, female cats that are extremely friendly. There is a several hundred dollar litter robot for litter box, and we have many scratching posts and toys. Dogs will be allowed as well, as we have a one year old Border Collie. There will be a play pen in the side yard, your dog is free to use, as well as a porch potty plus doggy door if I don’t end up integrating that with the side yard. There WILL be a pet deposit, and possibly pet rent. This will depend entirely one what breed, age, and size of animal you have. This house is brand new, and I know better than anyone pets can be extremely destructive at times. That being said, I think you’d be hard pressed to find roommates that like animals as much as us.. So feel free to let me know.

Strong preference for couples, however rent would be $1500 per month with a $2500 deposit, if you are moving in with a couple. Presumingly you would want the room with the Queen sized bed.

We like to watch TV. Movies, and etc. Our interests range from anime to video games, to math, engineering, and science. I love music, and I go to the gym daily for powerlifting. So if you’re a guy and you hit the gym, I would give you strong preference over others.. We can share protein powder and pre-workout. Natomos Fit Republic across the street essentially. I used to be Top 500 in Overwatch if you like LAN parties, but nowadays I don’t really play. My Wife enjoys stuff like Animal Crossing, and Chinese TV shows with extreme amounts of gay. She also loves to work on her research, so sometimes she can be rather busy. Oh, and I have a garage full of tools. I work on cars all the time. So if you have any issue with your car.. I can probably fix it for you.

We’re pretty awesome people. So, I mean. If you want to have fun and live in a pretty sweet house. Come join us! I can actually afford rent on this place without any roommates to be honest with you, but I thought it might be fun to have some people around!
