Hi, we have a private 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom private unit available in our home. It is a junior in-law unit that has it’s own private entrance located in the quiet and safe neighborhood of Maxwell Park near Mills College. Our current tenant will be moving out by May 20th, however, is willing to move out earlier if you’re looking for something sooner. We can do provide a virtual or in-person tour by appointment if you’re interested.

About the Unit The unit has its own private entrance (backside of the home) which can be accessed by either down the driveway or side gate. The unit has a relatively new kitchenette (2 electric burner stove, small fridge w/ freezer area, and sink). There is also a quartz countertop and cabinetry as well. The place can come empty or furnished (current tenant is willing to leave current furniture if desired) – see photos. You will also have direct access to the laundry room.

About the Location Maxwell Park is known for being a family friendly and diverse community. Prior to the pandemic, there was an annual Halloween block party where residents dress up, bring their kids, and have a great time getting to know one another. Built with the natural topography, you can see some views of Oakland Hills, Alameda, and San Francisco in parts of Maxwell Park. It is a very safe neighborhood where neighbors look out for one another.

About Transportation Casual carpool and a major AC transit stop (High St and Macarthur) are close-by This includes stops that can take you to SF to the Salesforce transit center. AC transit stop (route 47) in just a short 3 minute walk away. Uber / Lyfts are also plentiful in the area as well for your transportation needs.

Rent is $1500 month plus + 1/3 cost of utilities (PG&E, water, garbage, internet). First month’s rent and $2000 security deposit are due prior to move-in ($3500 total). We also have our home cleaned monthly by a professional housecleaner who can also clean your unit for an additional $60 month if you would like this additional service (they can also be scheduled every other month). We are ideally looking for someone for a 1 year term with the option of month-to-month afterwards.

About Us We are a married couple who are both bay area natives and healthcare professionals (Nurse and Dietitian Nutritionist). We are both fully vaccinated. We enjoy traveling (prior to the pandemic), eating delicious food, exercising, and being home-bodies while spending time with our small pug (Lola). I also like to work on cars as a hobby so if you’re ever interested in learning or have any car-related questions don’t be afraid to ask. We like to keep quiet hours in our house generally from 11 pm to 7am week nights due to work. Currently, we are building an accessory dwelling unit in the backyard so there may be some construction noise during the day time. If you work from home and daytime noise is an issue this might not be a good fit.
