About the room

I’ve a room available in an apartment located in downtown Red Bank, NJ.

A couple of negatives: The apartment is in a building that is around 75-years old (so no surprises that it has ‘character’). There are no laundry facilities on site but laundromats are close by. Living in downtown Red Bank means that there is some noise that you’ll have to get used to, but nothing too serious with the neighbors (residents and commercial) all being considerate of our surroundings.

The positives: You will be located in downtown Red Bank with travel links to NYC just a few minutes walk away. You have the pick of some of the areas best restaurants and bars, all within walking distance. Red Bank (in ‘normal’ times) forever hosts a variety of events throughout the year and there is never a dull moment in town.

The apartment is located in a very safe area. The Police station, Riverview Hospital and one of the Townships Firehouses are within a stones throw of the apartment, and in five years of living here in town, my car, apartment and my self have never experienced any issues.

The price is non-negotiable. I am looking for somebody who intends on sticking around for a while (12+ months).

About the roomies

It’s just me. I’m 36 (a young 36) and single with no kids or pets. I do like animals and kids, I just don’t want any of my own. I work in the sports industry with my schedule sometimes having me work from home, and other times I could be gone away for three or four days.

I’m very young at heart, and although I don’t drink hard during the week or at weekends, I do like to spend time with my friends in town at the local bars. Although my apartment is old, I do love it, and I prefer to keep it clean & tidy so it barely receives guests or visitors.

Why do I want a roommate? There’s two reasons…the first being I would like to spend less money each month on rent/bills and more on doing stuff I enjoy and am passionate about. The second reason is I would like some company at home. I’m not looking to spend each evening watching TV with you, but someone to talk to, enjoy a drink with and hopefully you’ll become a friend and not just a roommate.

One thing that is important to me is there must be respect. Whatever your belief/opinion on politics, Covid, the NFL, climate change or even the best way to cook pasta…I will never force my opinion on you or tell you your opinion is wrong, and I expect the same in return. Be chill.

What your sexual preferences are doesn’t bother me, and if you’re ‘420’ friendly, no problem, I’ve no issue with you smoking outside.
