About the room
We have a room available in a shared townhouse in Martinez, CA. The lease is month-to-month but we are looking for a roommate that plans to stay for at least half a year. This is a townhouse located right off of the Morello exit in Martinez, just minutes from the freeway.
Your Room: Loft style, large, and with plenty of storage. It is situated upstairs above the living room. Since it is upstairs, it retains heat but it has a ceiling fan. I recommend getting a personal AC unit. Your room does not come with a parking spot, but there is plenty of street parking. We also have several visitor spots that are available for use during certain hours.
Cost: $650/month + utilities (shared averaging $100 a month per person) Deposit: $750
- We pay on the 1st of every month through a housing agency. They handle repairs, etc.
- Note: Once we’ve decided that you’d be a good fit living with us, you will need to apply through the housing agency’s website. I believe the application is around $50.
Our Apartment: We have a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, a/c, heater, and a fireplace. We have pots, pans, and other utensils all ready so you don’t need to bring your own, although you can if you want. We also have a communal hot tub that is heated during the summer months. We have a garage for extra storage too.
Living Here: We’re both generally quiet people and we tend to stay in our rooms. You’re welcome to bring friends over but please be considerate of others aka clean up after yourselves, keep the noise down during quiet times, etc. Each roommate gets their own fridge/cabinet space. We tend to take turns buying shared things like toiletries, dishwashing detergent, or cleaning supplies. We also share the job of taking out the trash and recycling, so if you live here, being responsible is a must.
**Please contact me asap to check out the room and meet Grant and I.
About the roomies
About the current tenants: Michael (myself) – I am 34 years old, a 3rd grade teacher and I have two cats living here with us. The cats are very friendly and are indoor/outdoor cats, so someone that likes cats is a must. I am easygoing, silly, and always up for an adventure. I’ve been living in Martinez for almost 3 years now and I’ve grown up here in the Bay Area. Grant -
