About the room

The photos are from the landlord’s page, since I do currently have a roommate and don’t want to show furnishings that won’t be present. For some reason they’ve been mirrored/flipped, but other than that the layout is accurate. The lease term is 12 months, but if you help find a replacement I’ll help cover the fee for leaving early.

The listed rent is for half the landlord’s rent plus an expected $80~$100 for your half of PG&E and 200mb/s comcast. It ought to be lower at least some of the time, but PG&E has been over $140 several months in a row so this way you’ve got a good idea of the expected upper limit.

My current roommate has a cat. I will be arranging for professional cleaners once they’ve moved out, but I figure for potential allergy issues I should mention it.

Smoking is not allowed on the property.

This second-floor apartment has the following amenities: water, trash included in base rent. Pool, barbecue area with two tables. Parking lot for the complex, no assigned parking. Coin laundry room in the complex. Kitchen has oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and my own microwave and blender. Unfurnished bedroom has hanging fan lamp, and sliding glass door onto a small concrete balcony. Central heating and A/C.

About the roomies

I work at a 24-hour grocery store as a ‘day shift’ cashier, which means my shifts are up to 8 hours long, starting as early as 6:30 or ending as late as midnight. Generally my schedule has me starting between 7 AM and noon. I recently ended 4 years of night shift, which means that even though I’m generally pretty quiet sometimes I end up awake hours after midnight.

I mainly read, play games on my laptop, and watch youtube videos. I used to play D&D/Pathfinder, but my inconsistent work schedule has made it pointless/difficult to try to join a group.

I don’t cook much at all, so most of the kitchen will be free space for anything you might feel like doing there.

If you have a pet I’d like to meet them to make sure we get along, and you will need to speak to the landlord about the Pet Agreement paperwork.

I don’t want to share space with someone who talks about Trump positively. I’m not an activist, I just deal with enough of that at work.
