Hey there! I’m currently living in a newer apartment complex near the Lone Star North Harris campus. I live in a two-bedroom, two-bathroom first floor apartment. I have signed a year lease that began in late October 2020 with a roommate that has another living opportunity she would like to pursue. I honestly want a roommate that I enjoy being around. I would have you added to the lease. You would have your own restroom and bedroom (Bedroom #2). Washer and dryer are in-unit. The security deposit and renter’s insurance have already been paid, so I am asking for $450 deposit that will be handed back to you at the end of the lease as long as the insurance and protection plans cover any damages. I have a great deal on internet and electricity. With internet, electricity, rent and utilities it comes out to be about $800/month (each). I haven’t had a month over that amount. I have two Boston Terriers, which unfortunately maxes out the lease on pets, so we can’t have any additional ones. I am looking for someone that likes Boston Terriers/dogs generally. This is probably not the home for you otherwise. I am looking for someone responsible that has good communication skills and conflict resolution skills. I like the apartment clean. It would be nice to have a more “team-based” approach versus merely coexisting in the shared space. I think it would be a good idea to have some written ground rules, but it will ultimately be respectful habits.
