About the room:

The room is a comfortable size at around 11 x 11 feet. It can fit a queen-sized bed, desk, and dressers and has a decent-sized closet. If you need more room for storage, there’s space in the basement as well. The cost of the rooms is staggered for their varying size - this room is the middle cost at $1035/month. First and last are required for lease signing.

About the apartment:

Accessibility: the apartment is on the first floor with six stairs to enter but none within the unit itself. We’re in a great location: 5 minutes from Trader Joe’s, 10 minutes from Whole Foods, and very close to the river! Within a 30-minute walk you can get to Harvard Square, Central Square, Kendall Square, Back Bay, Kenmore/Fenway, and Allston.

The shared spaces are good size and get lots of light during the day. The kitchen has a gas range and a dishwasher. There’s also FREE LAUNDRY in the basement (yeah, it’s pretty great) for our unit. Out back, we have a spacious patio which is shared with the other two units, but we rarely overlap. Sadly, though we love them, pets are not allowed. Shared utilities include cable/internet, gas, and electric and usually run about $60 each during the summer and $100 each during the winter.

About the roommates:

C is a mid-30s gay guy who works in higher education administration. When not limited by the coronavirus he enjoys traveling fairly often for work and leisure and his last trip took him to Australia and New Zealand just before the pandemic intensified in the US. He is currently working from home and enjoys a balance of hanging out in common areas and recharging in his room.

N is an early-20s guy who works as a photographer and is often out and about on assignment (with the proper coronavirus precautions). He enjoys cooking and trying out new recipes and tries to stay active with walks and runs around the area.

About you:

This apartment is a three-bedroom apartment. We’re searching for a mid-20s to mid-30s roommate with steady income to move into our apartment in February (date flexible). You must be LGBTQIA+ friendly. We are looking for someone who will help out with chores regularly and who cleans up after themselves. Given the current pandemic, we do not have visitors inside and are looking for someone who is mindful about exposure and who adheres to public health requirements such as wearing a mask in public and limiting interactions with people outside the apartment.
