Get to Know Homeowner: Hello Future Roomie! I am Barmel, 29 years old, and I am so excited to invite you into our home! I am an outgoing, optimistic, and a highly motivated individual. I am originally from Florida, but I have been living in Georgia for the past 7 years. I moved from Macon Georgia to Atlanta Georgia in 2019 and I’ve been in the ATL for 5 years now! I love exploring the city, going to new food spots, and going on exciting new adventures. My focus this year is to save money, travel, invest and create an environment that encourages growth and elevation. I would love a roommate who is like minded in that aspect– because we can encourage each other to stay focused and take over the A aka Atlanta! I’m in branding/media and a podcast co-host, my work schedule is usually 9am-6pm weekdays and 5am- 1pm weekends. During the week, I’m usually in bed by 11:30pm and up by 6:30am. On the weekends, I’m usually asleep by 10pm and up around 4am. As you can see my schedule fluctuates but my room is not near yours so it will not affect your sleep schedule. I’m a pretty social person, but I also need my alone time. I want my house to be a place where I can have people over, but not a place that’s constantly full of people. – With COVID-19 lets refrain from having people over, please be considerate, safe and conscious of everyone’s boundaries. I’m looking forward to getting to know you! I want to foster a positive environment where we can communicate, uplift each other and simply have a good time. Occasionally watch Netflix together, make meals together – I pray you can cook! I like to keep common living spaces clean. I do my dishes every day and put away my belongings when I get home from work. I’m open to the idea of a cleaning schedule to keep things organized and on task.

Here are some quirks and relevant information: I am Christian, and love to watch a good sermon and other motivational videos on YouTube (As well as money saving videos, influencers like Jackie Aina, and listening to Jackie Hill Perry on the With the Perry’s podcast etc) . I’m not a smoker and I don’t want to live with smokers. I am Jamaican-American, I like drinking water & mocktails to unwind, I am creative and love finding new places to have photoshoots. I am business oriented and very open and honest.
