West 53rd Street

I’ve lived in the apartment for 2.5 years and absolutely love it! I’ll be away on a work trip until April 13 and looking for someone to sublet my room. The price listed is a reduced rate but happy to negotiate since I’m trying to get someone to at least cover part of the rent while I’m away.

About the apartment: 4th-floor walk-up on a corner building in the middle of Hell’s Kitchen (corner of 53rd St and 9th Ave). The kitchen has a dishwasher and plenty of cabinet space. There’s an AC unit in the living room which works well. Tons of quick subway access and a 25-30 minute walk to both Grand Central Terminal and Penn Station. Central Park is a just a few blocks away and there are a lot of restaurants doing outdoor seating in the area. There’s also a laundromat conveniently right across the street.

About the room: the largest of the three bedrooms. It has three windows so lots of natural light and a decent closet. Fully furnished with a queen bed, dresser, and bedside table.

The apt has two other rooms, one of which is occupied by Devante, an actor who recently graduated from culinary school (i.e. lots of homemade goodies available) and the other is Spencer, a drag performer who just moved back to the city.
