This room is a must-see if you enjoy nature, birdwatching and are looking for a home away from the noise of the city. While we’re currently in the dead of winter, you can see photos of how beautiful the view is for the majority of the year!
As a roommate here, you would share the lower level of our house with just one other roommate (guy who has been living here for about six months). ALL UTILITIES INCLUDED IN RENT PRICE, including fast internet (we work from home), water/sewer, electric, gas, and trash. Lower floor is accessed by walking down a path on the side of the house, separate entrance from main floor through patio door. Lower floor has its own large deck looking out over an expansive green space with creek.
House is owned by a well-traveled, educated, relaxed, quiet couple living on the top floor. We are located on a quiet, safe cul-de-sac mostly inhabited by retired folks looking to enjoy the beautiful natural setting. Note that it is very important to us to respect the serenity of this space - this is not a party zone! If you have any concerns, we can discuss further in person.
The lower level of the house, where this room is located, is completely separate from the top level. You would have your own room (11’9“x11’6“) with closet and shelving (plus a large window facing West), and would share (with the other roommate, not with the homeowners) a bathroom, laundry, and a gorgeous farmhouse-style kitchen. ALL NEW 2020 APPLIANCES in this remodeled kitchen, including gas range, butcher-block countertops, washer/dryer, microwave, full-size refrigerator, and apron-front sink. Lower level has plenty of storage space available in utility room, and you’re welcome to use some of our gardening space if you wish. Roommates park on street in front of house.
Area features gorgeous nearby hiking trails at Jackson School Woods Nature Preserve, which is just a short walk away, and nearby access (bike/drive) to lightrail, library, gyms, and grocery.
