Almaden Avenue

The house is located about half a mile from downtown proper and has four bedrooms. It’s about a 30 minute walk from SJSU and 10 minute walk to the VTA/Caltrain station. There’s a grocery store and some great restaurants within walking distance.

The available (unfurnished) room has porcelain tile flooring and a 6’ x 3.5’ exposed closet/nook. It also has a very deep cut-out space on the left side of the nook that is great for storage and can serve nicely as a vanity or additional shelving. Bathroom will be shared with one other housemate, who is only home a couple nights a week. The rest of the house is common space (kitchen, living room, patio). The house has a detached garage for storage as well as a basement where we currently keep exercise equipment. There’s also laundry and parking on site.

-Sorry, we cannot accommodate a couple. Occasional overnight guests are fine, so long as we communicate.

-One dog/cat is okay, but the landlord requires an additional deposit and “pet rent”. There is an awesome year-old pug living here now, so any future pets would have to get along with him. There’s also a frog living here, but that doesn’t matter.

-420 is okay!

-Utilities are split evenly among renters each month and are usually around $100 total.

This is an LGBTQ friendly house that is unfriendly to racists. We are all in our 20s and 30s, two women and one man. Our careers include a school teacher, a warehouse worker, and an engineering student.

We’ve become friends and like to watch movies together, play video games, and occasionally host shindigs (pre-2020). We are all pretty clean and do bi-monthly deep cleans of the house. We’ve gotten pretty good at communicating with each other as roommates and are looking for someone who fits well into our home.
