Hi there! We have a room available in our loft near the Morgan L train stop in Bushwick.

The apartment is large with a great deal of common space: lovely, sun-drenched living room filled with plants and art; kitchen well-stocked with various tools and gadgets; cozy TV nook with a large collection of movies and shows; and a full bath. The bedroom itself is a lofted room accessible by staircase. It is 10’ x 8’ 1/2“ with 5’ 1/2“ ceilings high and comes furnished with a dresser, shelving unit, clothing rack, and lamp. We can also provide a full sized mattress for an additional cost of $100. The room is currently painted white, but could be painted another color or otherwise modified to your liking. $800 per month covers rent and all utilities (electric, gas, internet, etc).

To move in, we’d require an $800 security deposit in addition to the first month’s rent. The room is currently open, so if you wanted to move in before Sept 1st, we could pro-rate the rent for that period.

We’re about a one minute walk to the Morgan L train, five minutes to the B57 and B60 bus lines, and about ten minutes to the Flushing JMZ trains. The neighborhood has several 24 hour grocers nearby as well as plenty of bars and restaurants. There are laundry machines in the building and roof access.

ABOUT US:

There are three people (two men and a woman) currently living in the loft:

Andrew (34) is a film/tv lighting technician. He also plays drums (not in the apt). Cori (28) is an artist who works primarily in video and performance. She also likes cooking, sewing projects, taking care of all our plants, and enjoying nonsense television. Jon (34) is a freelance video editor and a filmmaker. He’s also responsible for a lot of the art on our walls.

We’ve lived here together for many years and are looking for an easygoing, considerate person to add into the mix. Our ideal roommate would be relaxed, clean, and have minimal belongings. We have some limited storage space for smaller items, but not for extra furniture or large items that don’t fit in the bedroom.

In general we like to keep the common spaces uncluttered and share cleaning responsibilities.
