About the room
Available starting on 11JAN2022.
Renting a 110 sq.ft room in my 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom single-family home. Month to month contract. Looking for a tidy and quiet roommate who loves dogs but has no pets of their own. We have a large, friendly and goofy dog that has full house access (feel free to deny them access to your room, though). Full kitchen access with all the amenities, a large washer and dryer in the garage, a spacious backyard, large sunroom with some workout equipment (including a treadmill) and enough room in the driveway for a new tenant’s vehicle. Big and spacious living room, no cable but full access to Netflix and Amazon Prime videos. We have wi-fi through AT&T. We split all utilities (but if military, we will of course consider anytime you are underway). Very convenient location to I-5 in about ~3 minutes, and about ~10 minutes from NBSD. The Chula Vista mall is located directly down the street, and there’s also a large shopping center between Palomar St and L St.
Due to previous roommate experiences, we need to meet with you and get a feel for who you are before any agreement is made. We’re all quite mature (although we do like to party), and so we expect our new roommate to be responsible and respectful.
We take COVID and any other sickness seriously, but we’re not masking up or anything of the sort anymore. If there’s a chance someone in the house has it, we ask them to get tested since we have family members that are vulnerable.
About the roomies
Three roommates right now, out of a maximum of 4:
- Me. 33-year-old Navy veteran, used to be an ET1. Gamer and introverted, pretty quiet, and I don’t drink or smoke. Currently a full-time student.
- My very extroverted 31-year-old girlfriend. She was a children’s entertainer before COVID hit, and now she’s a full-time student. She has an apartment near UCSD and spends time there during school sessions. She is also the homeowner, so she dictates all the rules and stipulations.
- Our 32-year-old introverted male friend who works either at a farm, or at a testing lab for pharmaceuticals (depends on his circumstances).
