Rent or barter remodel/the trades/survivalist You MUST bring experience/skill/education :) for barter. We are willing to talk compensation, as well if you bring that sort of skill. (skilled labor ain’t cheap; cheap labor ain’t skilled) We have 3-4 ‘‘big projects. We need the help before we need the rent money. But, money talks too, so… :) 4/3 house
We are looking for someone with the time, iniative and CAPABILITY to complete projects ( you pick the project(s) and we are not slave drivers, you will either make progress or not ;) ) Our spaces are semi-temporary. You can leave any time you want. We are open to a year’s lease(s), but our initial commitment will only be 3 months. If it is working out we will all know within the first 45-60 days…:) No drugs/alcohol issues. 420 friendly.
Potentially, 2 rooms to choose from. Master with ensuite bathroom (still needs a few more updates). Or the pool room, small, but cute. (we can discuss the cute after a few months :) ) You would use the hall bath (definitely needs whole remodel) it’s semi-private. (the only tub and hall bath) They both have brand-new sliding doors out to the pool! Rent is 650.00 to 900.00 and the deposit is 1 month’s rent. To move in you must have both. With the right skill set, we can negotiate some of that. 2 bath remodels, paint house (interior & exterior), kitchen countertop replacement (someone willing & skilled to do an epoxy top??) landscaping/gardening (for REAL stuff) Open to discussion for an organizing, decor, cleaning, cooking “assistant”/ guru/diva person, as well. The same requirements MUST bring the experience, skill, AND iniative!! We want the material to be reused, recycled, etc with a Lowe’s back-up. (or specialty!!) House: NE Palm Bay ~ Turkey Creek/US 1 area NEW: Last 5 years (electrical / a/c update) Last year (2022) plumbing, metal roof, last month (12-2023) impact windows and doors. Now I can start on the inside and paint the outside! This is a month-to-month (you can leave at any time.)
For the right person(s) we think this is a win-win for everyone. We have a dog, so we would need to discuss a dog. We’re just looking to enjoy our trips around the sun on this planet. While being as self-sufficient as we can. We have the desire and goal, but still need all the work to get there. and doing our part with our village, tribe, community, one human family.

Lots of changes over the last several years and today we have a 22-year-old who lives there and an owner who is there part-time and works from home. When 1 room is empty it’s used for traveling friends, family, and the Workaway organization. (when the owner is home) So, there will be a full house at times. And other times, just you and the young man who works in the medical field. The goal is to have a hurricane-safe place, start growing food, and start collecting, conserving, and recycling water with a shady spot to relax during the 420 hour, before retirement! We just need to finish the work to get there! We do believe that we are One Human Family sharing One Planet. And this seems like a WIN-WIN-WIN!
